Dunwoody and Brookhaven residents looking to help kids start the school year right can drop off new backpacks and school supplies at the Children's Restoration Network's annual Back 2 School Collection on Thursday, July 23, and Friday, July 24.

The Roswell-based nonprofit accepts donations both days from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 11285 Elkins Road, Building C, Suite 4, Roswell. The drive appears on both the Dunwoody and Brookhaven Patch community calendars, and organizer Cliff Kinsey encourages individuals, churches, civic groups, and workplaces to collect supplies and bring them in.

CRN has served children experiencing homelessness across metro Atlanta since 1993. Its Back 2 School campaign focuses on children living in group homes and shelters who need supplies and a new backpack for the first day of school, according to the organization's website.

Only new backpacks and school supplies are accepted. For questions, call 770-649-7117 or email [email protected].
