Red Pepper Taqueria at 4555 Ashford Dunwoody Road in Dunwoody will turn National Tequila Day into a multi-day party starting at 3 p.m. Friday, July 24, with a live DJ and drink specials running until midnight that night and continuing through the weekend.
The family-owned Mexican-American restaurant and sports bar, which has operated in the Perimeter corridor since 2011, is pricing house margaritas at $5 and offering discounted tequila shots through Sunday, July 26. Groups can order a $45 Patrón tower, a shareable display of tequila bottles split among friends at the table.
A restaurant representative told Appen Media that the team is expanding the celebration beyond a single day this year, adding all-weekend pricing, the Patrón tower option, and Friday-night DJ entertainment to draw larger crowds.
National Tequila Day is observed annually on July 24. Red Pepper's decision to stretch the promotion across three days reflects a growing pattern among Ashford Dunwoody corridor restaurants that use national food holidays as weekend-long draws rather than one-night events.
Red Pepper Taqueria describes itself as a family-owned sports bar where dishes are made from scratch, according to its website. The restaurant has been in business at the Dunwoody location for 15 years.
