Dunwoody Wildcats fans can support the football program and skip cooking on Wednesday, Aug. 26, when Marlow's Tavern in Dunwoody Village donates 10% of all food and beverage sales to DHS football.

The Spirit Night runs from 5 to 9 p.m. Customers just need to mention they're there for the Wildcats when ordering. The deal covers dine-in, carry-out and third-party delivery orders, according to The Aha! Connection's event listing.

The fundraiser comes as head coach Matt Schmitz's program builds momentum heading into year two. The Wildcats made the GHSA state playoffs last fall before falling to Gainesville in the first round, finishing 5-6, The Champion Newspaper reported. This season, Dunwoody has nearly 100 players on the roster, the highest count in years, according to What's Up Dunwoody.

The roster is deep with returning talent.

Senior quarterback Jack Quartararo returns after throwing for 1,064 yards and six touchdowns in nine games last season, completing 64% of his passes. Bradley Stephens, the team's top returning skill player, accounted for 659 rushing yards, 316 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in 2025, The Champion reported.

The program has been active on the fundraising front. A golf outing at The Country Club of Roswell in April exceeded its goal, and the broader Bring It Home campaign is raising $1.5 million toward the roughly $2.5 million Seacrest Stadium project. The stadium, named for 1992 DHS alum Ryan Seacrest, who made a lead gift of approximately $1 million, will give Dunwoody its first on-campus home field.

"We know we're gonna have to be ready," Schmitz said at Score Atlanta's media day in early August, looking ahead to the season opener against Centennial at the Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic, according to Appen Media.

The Wildcats opened the 2026 season Thursday, Aug. 20, against Centennial at Blessed Trinity High School. Their next game is Friday, Aug. 28, at Riverwood in Sandy Springs at 7:30 p.m., followed by the rivalry matchup at Chamblee on Friday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m.
