The Dunwoody High School Wet Wildcats swim and dive team hits the water Thursday, Oct. 22, when it faces North Atlanta High School at the Chamblee High School pool.

The meet is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m., with buses provided for athletes from Dunwoody. The team will gather in the cafeteria after school for a pre-meet meal sponsored by Red Pepper Taqueria, according to the team's weekly newsletter. Athletes are asked to wear their team shirt or team jacket to school that day.

Before the opener, the Wildcats hold Media Day on Tuesday, Oct. 20, starting at 3 p.m. in the lobby by the auditorium.

The team expects full participation.

Photographers will take individual portraits, class pictures by grade and a captains' group photo. Team shirts and swimsuits will be handed out at Media Day. Athletes may wear either the swimsuit or team shirt for individual photos but must wear the team shirt for the group shot.

First- and second-year swimmers receive a team towel at no cost. Additional towels are available for $40 with personalization, according to the newsletter.

Candice Ryan, mother of swimmer Scarlett Ryan, joins as co-president of the booster organization this season. Jessica Falk-Spencer coordinates meet-day volunteers. Parents who signed up to volunteer for Thursday's meet should confirm their assignments through the team's SwimTopia page.
