The Dunwoody Police Department is bringing back its Pizza with Police event on Thursday, Oct. 8, at the Great Lawn Pavilion at Brook Run Park.

The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. at the park, 4770 N. Peachtree Rd. The department announced the gathering on X, describing it as an evening of pizza and a chance for residents and officers to spend time together ahead of National Faith & Blue Weekend.

The official National Faith & Blue Weekend runs Oct. 9–12 and is co-convened by MovementForward, Inc. and the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. The annual initiative connects law enforcement and residents through events organized with faith-based groups.

The department's post said Pizza with Police is returning, though no details about prior editions were available in public records.

Pizza with Police is the latest in a busy year of informal outreach organized by the Dunwoody Police Department's Community Outreach Unit. In 2026, the department has held Coffee with a Cop sessions at Paris Baguette in January, First Baptist Rotunda Market in March, Ark Coffeehaus in May, Foxtail Coffee in August and Perimeter Mall in September. Officers hosted a Taco with Police event at Chupito's Azteca Grill in July and a Pop with a Cop gathering at Georgetown Park the same month. The department also held its annual National Night Out at Brook Run Park on Aug. 4.

In a May 8 post promoting the Coffee with a Cop series, the department said the events carry no set agenda and are simply a chance for officers and residents to connect and ask questions.

The department has not specified whether the Oct. 8 event requires registration or whether it is open to all ages. Residents can visit the Dunwoody Police Department's website for updates.
