Dunwoody High School's softball program is bringing back its cornhole tournament for a third year, with cash prizes, a silent auction, and two brackets for families and competitive players at Morty's Meat & Supply in The Village Dunwoody.
The 3rd Annual Cornhole Tournament and Silent Auction Fundraiser takes place Saturday, August 15, at 5509 Chamblee Dunwoody Road. The event runs alongside the Back to School Band Party, according to a listing on The Aha! Connection.
Two separate single-elimination brackets give families and serious players their own lanes. The Family Friendly tournament starts at 5:30 p.m., with the Competitive bracket following at 7:30 p.m. Each bracket holds 16 teams, and teams advance by winning two out of three games.
Registration is $52 per team. Winners take home $200 for first place and $100 for second in each bracket.
Spots are limited.
The Dunwoody High School Softball Booster posted on Facebook that food and drinks will be available for purchase at the event, and asked attendees to order from servers in the tournament area so a percentage of those sales goes back to the DHS softball program.
