Two church pumpkin patches in Dunwoody and Brookhaven are open through Oct. 31, giving families a local spot to grab fall décor while supporting community causes.
All Saints Catholic Church at 2443 Mt. Vernon Road in Dunwoody and Brookhaven Christian Church at 4500 Peachtree Road NE are both selling pumpkins to the public, Champion Newspaper reporter Christine Fonville reported Oct. 21.
All Saints Catholic Church, Dunwoody
The Knights of Columbus run the pumpkin patch at All Saints, which offers heirloom varieties, white "polar bear" pumpkins, mini gourds and classic stacking pumpkins, according to the church's pumpkin patch website. Family activities are also available on site.
Proceeds go toward the Knights of Columbus' mission to benefit those in need in Dunwoody and beyond, according to the church's website.
Hours run noon to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends through Oct. 31.
Brookhaven Christian Church
Brookhaven Christian Church's annual pumpkin sale launched Oct. 18 at 4500 Peachtree Road NE. Volunteers were unloading pumpkins that day, Fonville reported.
The sale runs through Oct. 31. Hours are 2 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
The church lists outreach as part of its broader mission on its website, though the specific beneficiary of pumpkin sale proceeds is not listed publicly.
Upcoming community events
Dunwoody Baptist Church hosts a free Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon, according to The Aha! Connection. The church describes the event as its fall community outreach, featuring inflatables, bounce houses, games, a preschool play area and candy. Families are encouraged to bring a treat bucket.
Both pumpkin patches close after Oct. 31.
