Philadelphia sheriff’s deputies arrested a DeKalb County domestic violence defendant Tuesday, Oct. 13, after authorities said he removed his ankle monitor and traveled to Pennsylvania to pursue and threaten his ex-girlfriend.

N’Tyrance Davis faces charges in two pending domestic violence cases involving the woman, DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston said, according to 11Alive.

The woman had relocated to Philadelphia with their young son. The Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office said a Georgia-based victim assistance program helped her move.

Authorities warned of threats

Davis was arrested in October 2025. Court records reviewed by 11Alive show a judge granted him a $10,000 bond April 24, 2026, with a no-contact order. Boston said he remained jailed until posting bond in late June. His release also required electronic monitoring.

On Oct. 9, prosecutors learned Davis had removed his monitor and intended to find the woman and their son, Boston said. Her office warned the woman, contacted Philadelphia authorities and filed a motion to revoke his bond. An arrest warrant followed Oct. 10, according to 11Alive’s account of court filings.

The Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office said a captain received information from DeKalb County’s sheriff’s office Oct. 10. Georgia authorities reported that Davis had learned the woman’s location through social media, WSB-TV reported.

Authorities also relayed reports from family and friends that Davis intended to kill her, according to WSB-TV. Prosecutors obtained a full-extradition warrant Monday, Oct. 12.

Deputies locate Davis

On Oct. 13, DeKalb prosecutors told Philadelphia authorities that the woman had reported Davis found her. Authorities then lost contact with her.

Deputies located Davis at a relative’s West Philadelphia residence and arrested him without incident. The operation involved Philadelphia’s Domestic Violence Task Force, Warrant Unit, Canine Unit and Delaware Valley Intelligence Center, working with Georgia authorities.

Georgia victim assistance personnel later reached the woman. She told them Davis had taken her phone but she escaped, according to WSB-TV.

Davis was taken into custody as a fugitive from justice and faces extradition to Georgia. The reports did not give a transfer date.

“Survivors of domestic violence deserve safety and protection,” Philadelphia Sheriff Rochelle Bilal said. “Our deputies acted quickly, worked across state lines, and took this fugitive into custody without incident.”

Boston said the case demonstrated the importance of cooperation across jurisdictions.
