Dunwoody and Brookhaven families with fourth and fifth graders have about a month to sign up their kids for the DeKalb County School District's elementary soccer season.
Registration opened Aug. 13 and runs through Sept. 13, according to the district's announcement on X. Practice begins Sept. 21, with the first game set for Oct. 17.
The program is part of DCSD's elementary athletics offerings, which launched during the 2024-2025 school year. The district now fields five elementary sports: flag football, basketball, competitive dance, soccer and track and field. Only fourth and fifth graders are eligible, according to the district's athletics page.
Families can register through the DCSD athletics portal linked in the district's social media posts or by visiting the elementary athletics page on the DCSD website.
The soccer season is separate from the elementary track program, which has a registration deadline of Aug. 21.
