Brookhaven's fourth annual International Festival will land at a new venue Oct. 17–18 with Latin cumbia act Cumbiatron and K-pop group DROP headlining back-to-back days.
The two-day festival runs 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 17 and Oct. 18 at Brookhaven Park, 4158 Peachtree Road NE, according to a city announcement. The park replaces the Peachtree Creek Greenway, which hosted the festival since its 2023 debut along the Buford Highway Cultural Corridor.
Cumbiatron, a Latin American cumbia dance act, takes the stage Oct. 17. DROP, a five-member K-pop boy group, headlines Oct. 18. The city said additional performers will be announced later.
"We are in a new location this year — Brookhaven Park, easily accessible via MARTA and our provided shuttles," Mayor Pro Tem John Funny said in the city's Aug. 18 press release.
Shuttles are free. They will run from Apple Valley Road behind the MARTA parking lot.
District 3 Council Member Madeleine Simmons, whose district includes the park, said in the same release that she is excited for Brookhaven Park to serve as the festival's new home.
A 5K walk and run benefiting We Love Buford Highway kicks off the Oct. 18 schedule at the Peachtree Creek Greenway, 1793 Briarwood Road. The course is USATF-certified and qualifies runners for the Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race.
We Love Buford Highway, a nonprofit focused on preserving the multicultural identity of the Buford Highway corridor, runs the free Buford Highway Orchestra Program for local children. Executive director Lily Pabian said in the release that 96 young musicians have participated in the program, gaining access to music education and mentorship.
Rough Draft Atlanta reported additional lineup details Aug. 30.
The festival also features live cultural performances, art installations, international cuisine, a Kidz Zone and a global marketplace. Organizers encourage attendees to bring water, chairs or blankets, sunscreen and bug spray.
