Brookhaven's Saturday morning farmers market earned a spot on a statewide top-10 list, with six Saturdays left before the season ends.
Travel site takingthekids.com included the Brookhaven Farmers Market in its roundup of Georgia's 10 best farmers markets, published Monday, Sept. 21. The list, written by Victoria Langley, covers standout markets across the state, including entries in Savannah, Atlanta, Marietta, Decatur, Ellijay, Canton, Roswell and Athens.
The Brookhaven Patch AM newsletter picked up the recognition Tuesday, Sept. 22, noting the roundup highlighted the market's free parking, live music and family-friendly activities at Fernwood Circle. The newsletter called it a "special shout-out" for Brookhaven residents.
Now in its 16th season the market operates every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at 1375 Fernwood Circle NE, off Dresden Drive. Admission and parking are free.
The vendor lineup this year includes Sava Coffee Roasters, which pulls made-to-order shots on site, and The Atomic Parlour, known for hexagonal ice cream sandwiches. Sausage World sells handcrafted sausages, and PR's Premium BBQ Sauce and Polly The Potter round out the mix, according to the market's vendor page.
Live musicians perform under a tent each Saturday, rain or shine. Dogs are welcome on leashes, and the market draws neighbors of all ages each week.
The 2026 season closes Saturday, Oct. 31. No opening date for the 2027 season has been announced.
